Alix and Brendan PentHouse Apartment in San Francisco

The View from the Quinns Apartment( in the SFO Financial District)looking towards Oakland, CA

Several weeks ago, Dinah and I had spent 2 hours visiting Alix and Brendan at their luxurious penthouse apartment at the 19th Floor of a 20-story apartment building with all the modern amenities and a few blocks from the heart of the San Francisco Financial District.

I am so delighted that Alix and Brendan has the financial capability to enjoy luxurious upscale city living which is only about a 10-12 minutes walk to their work place.  Incidentally, Alix and Brendan are both software engineers with Bachelor Degrees in Computer Science from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.  Alix and I have the same birthday date ( December 20) but sixty years apart. When I turned 90 on December 20, 2024, Alix will be exactly 30 years old. She is the oldest daughter of my son, Dodie.

We also played Philippine Style Mahjong for 2 hours.  I am not writing the exact address of their Penthouse Apartment. However, I am posting a few pictures taken during our visit.   If you are familiar with San Francisco skylines you will probably know the exact location of Alix and Brendan Apartment.

Here are some photos during our visit just recently. It was a foggy and rainy afternoon and the Bay View from the 19th floor was obscured. Their apartment has two balconies. If you have acrophobia, the balconies is not a place for you.  Here are the photos including our mahjong game.

My 7-Pairs Nearly Winning Hand with a Joker-If you are playing with Bets-A 7-pair Hand is worth 4x than an ordinary mahjong hand.  Just waiting either for the 7 circle or 2 Character to WIN!   Note I also have 6 flowers. If I have the other 2 flowers, my hand will be worth more, If I won.

If you like High Rise Views -

To Alix and Brendan:  Dinah and I enjoyed our visit specially our 2-hour Mahjong Game. However, since I have acrophobia the balconies in your Penthouse is not for Me!

Chair Volleyball Here at THD

Karen K Chair Volleyball Referee Here at THD

One of the many physical activities I enjoyed here at THD is Chair Volleyball. It is in our THD activity schedule once a month on Tuesday at 11AM.

Before moving here at THD, I have never played the game. So the first time I played here at THD I was a little bit apprehensive I will not enjoy the game. However so far this activity is one that I enjoyed very much along with the Corn Hole and Ladder Ball games we play here at THD once a  month. So, What is chair volleyball?

Chair volleyball is very different than the traditional game and beach volley ball. Here the rules of the game.
https://www.cityofws.org/DocumentCenter/View/18910/Chair-Volleyball-rules
It's played inside, players sit on chairs and the ball is a beach ball. Players can hit the ball as often as they want or need to get it over the net.

One of the many incidents that is fun was the ball hitting accidentally in one of the players bald head. Another incident is the ball hitting accidentally in one private parts or in my Face. We have a lots of laughs and fun during the Chair Volleyball Games here at THD. If you have not played before, I am inviting you to join us once a month on Tuesday at 11AM.   Don't Fall from your Chair, however!
Here are some photos I took Today:

Meanwhile enjoy this photo of my sumptuous breakfast just the other day

This breakfast will give you lots of energy to play Chair Volleyball! Please join me at Chair Volley Ball once a month Tuesday at 11AM at our Yoga Studio! I guarantee you will have FUN!

The NFC Championship Game Party at THD

We have pizza, salad, chocolate, and drinks ( wine, beer, soft drinks, and water) to our hearts content yesterday afternoon during the NFC Championship Game between the Detroit Lions and the SFO 49er's ( see photo above). It was in our Cinema wide screen. The game was exciting since the first quarter the Niners were losing but at the end they won by a field goal. The Cinema was not too crowded so there was plenty of pizza for everybody. The libations flowed freely and added fun to the event! More Power to the THD Activity Directors!

Thank you THD for this activity, specifically to Karen K and Jenny S who were there to cheer for the Niners.

I wore my newly purchased Purdy and Montana T-Shirt for the event ( see photo) below:

Prior to the NFC Game Championship, I was watching the AFC Championship Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens. The KC Chiefs won- also my favorite team.

So the Super Ball in 2 two weeks at Las Vegas will be between the Niners and the Chiefs- my two favorite teams. The cheapest ticket is around 7 Grand and the highest is $50,000. Only the rich can afford these prices, so I am happy to watch the Game in my TV big Screen or at our THD Cinema Screen.

Here are some photos I took during and after the NFC Championship Game in our Cinema.

Meanwhile here are some photos taken by Jenny S during and after the Game. Thank you, Jenny!
